well it looks like im going to be getting a 99 cobra here within the next week whoop whoop. Out of the 6 mustangs i have owned this will be my first cobra and im excited since i have had to remove cobra emblems on the last two gt's i have purchased.:bigthumb

Any mods to the car or is it stock?

Congrats man! Whats your goals? Street terror or quarter mile? Daily driver or a weekend car? I'd say the basic starting point if you want to stay away from a turbo/blower would be to add some 4.30 or 4.56 gears since they love to rev, and full exhaust, tune, and sticky tires. Maybe a shot of nitrous later on if you get the itch!

get a CAI, ported intake, full exhaust (bigger is better on these), gear (4.10-4.30), tune. It will be a real healthy car.

Mine has 456's,exhaust,CAI. And a tune. And ran 13.25@101.first trip to track. And also gets 25mpg. don't be afraid of a gear.

4v cars love nitrous. I made 415whp with a catted bbk hpipe, Mac dumps, c
Bbk cai and a 150 wet shot.

Make darn sure you use the premium gas. It made a huge difference in my last one. The love higher rpm's too. Have fun and post pics when you get it.

Thanks all. I'd say goal wise at first fun daily . I have had 3.55s and 3.73s and I will def be going higher. Intake and cat back so far on it. Interior and exterior are mint. I don't know how I'm gonna sleep til Monday . Gears will def be first. And i can always pull the nitrous off my 95 :)

Welcome love my 01 if you start to wheel hop mash the clutch to the floor or left of the gas quick so you dont snap an axle, gears a must, exhaust, and a short throw shifter the factory one is sloppy.:bigthumb
