I've got a 91 GT and when I was replacing the rear hatch seal, I noticed that my hatch is out of alignment. The top and bottom gaps are good and its not rubbing anywhere, but its off left to right (when standing at the taillights facing the front of the car) by about 3/16" or so, not enough to keep it from closing, but enough to be noticeable. It looks like it can be adjusted via the four mounting bolts at the top, but before I go risking it I wanted to see if there is a trick to get it set properly. Any help is appreciated

Make sure you take the hatch shocks off before you adjust or the pressure in them will fight you as you are trying to align it..

an extra set of hands will come in handy too.
