Just for S & G's I thought I would post up and see what you guys may think I will put down in the Grand Prix.
Most probably don't care, but what the heck.
Here are some specs for ya:
3.8L Eaton Gen V SC, LS1 TB, CAI, IC with Ice Box setup, P&P intake, Alum Heads, Roller Rockers, Headers, block is .020 over.
The best pass the car has made was a 11.68.

I'd say around the 350 area as well. Either way that's getting it!

How much have you done to it since the last thread you posted with your old numbers? Ima guess 425. With the weight of the car and the time, thats the power the calculators are averaging. (all 5 I checked) Now if those are accurate, who knows.. Guess well find out.

I put on Alum Heads, running VP109 Fuel and the Ice Box Set up. Heads added a little more compression. I really don't know how much more, if any that I will get.

The results are in:
380 WHP
365 TQ
22 degrees of timing, A/F around 12.1 or so.
I guess its not too bad for a V6. Our trans has about a 20% loss, being front wheel drive, so that really equates to around 456 HP at the crank.
Well, this weekend, the motor gets pulled, torn down, and the Alum Heads, double roller timing chain, intake, IC, and SC get put on the higher compression motor.
I have a new Yank torque conveter to put in, a new Meziere billet flex plate, and a newer SC to put on. I hope to have it together by sunday night to get my push rod length to order them on Monday from Manley.
If all goes well, I will take it to the track with the new setup next Friday, but I know how my luck is though:rolleyes:...............
Anyways, thanks for playing:bigthumb

Got ya. I hope you are right when I get there. At least I have some base number now. It would be nice to be over 400 with the new setup, but if not, oh well, at least my new cam will sound better:tongue2:
Impressive Sean.
Thanks Chad

Nice numbers!! I'm curios why are you making all the changes?
Because I am crazy!!??
Well, the motor that is in my car now has been through alot over the past 3 yrs, blown head gasket, chipped piston, and a oil control ring gone bad. At start up, I can hear a knocking noise somewhere up front, I don't know if is a bearing, or I have a cracked flex plate, both kinda sound the same on a Grand Prix.
I have been chasing down a 11.5 pass all year, and after seeing the best so far this year has been a 11.68 on a great day, with a great 60'. We have been pulling 11.7X all year.
So with this new setup, I should gain about 40 to 50 more HP, I know, so little for so much work. But, I know another friend of mine had this same cam in his car and was able to run a 11.5 with it, so I have high hopes. Plus it gives me something to do I guess and a excuse to use my new garage. Plus I think my current TQ Converter is wore out and needs a refresh, so it will be neat to see if the Yank TQ converter will help.
So there you have, I am crazy, insane, and have no life, just a bunch of parts laying around.:lol:
