I bought a set of 9.99 intake manifold gaskets from auto advance and I'm rethinking. Is there a difference and the same goes for exhaust manifolds. Should I use red rtv or something different.

Depends on what heads and intake your running. And do not use silicone on the intake gaskets themselves.
