anyone know anything about them... i picked up this guy for 600 i think it was a good deal. but i would like to see if anyone is a luger buff and could tell me what all the markings are saying. its a s42 from 1937 and it still shoots well and holds a hell of a group.

http://www.gundigest.com/gun-digest-classics-articles/thelugerpistol here's a pretty good history site on the gun. I did a little looking and I don't see any current sales but over the past 12 months as long as all of the serial numbers match it could be worth as much as a few grand.

thanks!!!! good info. that made the most since out of everything i read. i found out its also a British captured weapon from one of the marks. so its pretty interesting. all numbers match its a cool pistol. idk if im going to find wood grips for it or keep the plastic.

No doubt I'd get it appraised with the plastic grips I want to say for military issue that's what they came with. I thought it was good reading also
