My coil appears to have seen better days. I pulled the wire and the terminal is black and plastic is melted..I have many signs of a bad coil so I am going to replace it ..my question is can I run a accel or blaster coil with a stock duraspark without issue?

You shouldn't have any problems running an after market coil of those types.

Thanks... I just got confused when reading different tech articles about the duraspark set up.....
stock -20 bucks
accel -29 bucks...
well worth the upgrade lol
Thanks again

Honestly i'd rather run an EFI stock replacement than an Accel coil, especially if it's one of those huge yellow ones. I've had bad luck with them. You won't see any difference with an aftermarket coil unless you have the aftermarket ignition to go with it.

.. That is what i pretty much was reading. Some said its worth the upgrade but i figured it would only help if i did the whole system.... I dont plan on doing a full upgrade in the vert....so stock works :)
