Are you talking piston to valve clearance or valve in the actual cylinder head?

havent gotten that far yet

as it stands I have the castings with screw in studds and 1.6 roller rockers, a 351w .30over with forged pistons and rods and a lightning gt40 lower intake and a sheet metal upper

In that case I am not much help, I would think that the factory valves have very little shrouding issues so maybe just a slight bigger than stock

I believe the max on that head is 202 on the in and 184 ex. The lift and duration will be important, along with push rod length.

OOPS 164 on the ex!!

I went with 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhaust. I think I could've went 2.02 on the intake if I remember correct.

I have 1.94/1.60 in mine, and yeah they're Chevy valves lol. I got a deal on some stainless valves from Hucks that a guy ordered and never bought. I didn't ask if i could go any bigger, but judging by how close the intake and exhaust valves are, i don't see them getting much bigger.

Yeah I thought it was pretty tight in there. I do know a few people that have went with 2.02/1.60 though. Dont know if you can get away with the 1.64 or not. I know its not much. And on mine Im not sure how much power it made but with a stock bottom end, F cam, Vic Jr. intake and a 750 Holley with good exhaust and a 4.10 gear it went 12.40's with a T5 in a 90 LX.

362/364 at the wheels with a duel plane intake and a box-stock Holley 650 on my 347. I'm hoping to inch a bit closer to 400hp at the wheels with the Victor Jr. and 780cfm Pro Systems carb. On 302 with an X303 cam i went 12.8 with major traction issues, it would've gone 12.5 easy if it didn't spin 1st and 2nd. Bigger valves are only part of it, the rest is about port work.
