I am just guessing but If your talking just the engine I would say 200 low to 500. I would be more on the 200 area if the condition is unknown, and I would have to think about that. But thats just me.

If you at least know the miles that would be the best place to start. Under 100k around $400-$500. Over 100k $350 or so...based on what I could find when I was looking.

should be worth couple hundred I seen one at besslers auto in hebron in a mountaineer (dark blue) was a early 97 motor was complete with 3 bar gt40 heads
