well im not finding to many employment options here at home so im looking at going back to afghanistan in december. my goal is to drop bout 30 pounds. i figure if i post it on here i got to do it now and not later. so i gess first off is to stop eating like my favorite cooking show on youtube... "epic meal time" and hit the gym more often.... but anyways it looks like the deployment is going to be convoy security basicly im going to be protecting the main supply rout from the durka durks. just like cowboys and indians. just thinking about it if i lose a shit ton of fatness i may improve my 1/4 mile time... :) if i do get to deploy again 91boost will have another project... and my current car will get the procharged 408 that i been dreaming about. if anyone has any get less fat quick tips hit me up.

Burn more calories than you take in...foolproof method for weight loss. If the portion is larger than the palm of your hand, it is too much.

That is the safest, most effective way of weight loss, coupled with something to get the cardio going.

Fad diets and starvation do not work, especially for the long term...BTDT.

I am currently on a 1200 calorie a day diet, plus cardio. Dropped 20 lbs in less than 2 months. Safely..usually averaging about 2lbs per week of loss. The first few weeks saw dramatic drops, but then smoothed out at about 2 lbs.

I also allow one "cheat" meal a week, usually something I am craving but doesn't fit into the 1200 calorie meal plan.

Oh...and good luck if you do go over to the sand box. Get your butt home safely!

I need a partner for my 630 a.m. runs if you feel like driving into town. I have been extremely low on the motivation here of late.

From my house next to udf to hale street. Its exactly 1 mile . At that time of the morning there is nobody out , so traffic is light and theres a nice little hill at about the .7 to .8 mile mark that makes you burn a little more.

I had to change my eating habits, reducing pop was a big factor in losing weight. I eat more often now. I was 220 and now I maintain 190. I couldn't hold onto 170 too long since it required me to focus on counting calories more than I wanted to. Good luck!

Pop is a huge factor.. more than anyone would think. Cut back on that and eat six to seven small meals a day and you will see the difference.. It works!!!

Good luck, best weight reduction I found was going to afghanistan! I lost over 30 lbs there. This economy has everyone in a tight situation. Cut down on pop and beer, and watch how much and how often you eat. don't starve, but just don't binge either. That works for me.

Cutting out pop, beer, energy drinks and fast food will show more of a result than u think. Mix in some cardio and weights and you'll reach your goal before you know it.

Also remember that working out makes you HUNGRY! Think of it this way, your body needs FUEL...not food! (And no, I am not suggesting you drink gas!)

I don't really watch the scales. I would rather work out hard and get in better and stronger shape than worry about the losing weight. I feel a ton better and stronger at 205-210 than I do being ripped up at 190-195 and feel like shit. Working out and doing cardio you will lose weight regardless, but cutting 30 and gaining back 15 in muscle wouldn't be to bad either. Go to a judo or jujitsu class a couple times a week for your cardio. Great for endurance , strength and breaking a towel heads neck!

Thanks for the info. I need to really start I still meet the minimum army physical fitness so my next mission is going to be more labor intensive. All armed and ready to go I'm bout 100 pounds heavier so I need to get bigger stronger faster and lighter. My weapon and ammo alone will be 70 pounds. I'm the 240b gunner. Anyone know any judo or martial arts places meet Wilmington?
