FALL, Street Car Shoot-out!!

On Saturday, September 17th, 2011 Street Cars from all over the area will meet at the Old Kmart parking lot in Forest Park Ohio. (12171 Omniplex Ct, Cincinnati, OH 45240) We will meet then drive to Tri-State Dragway to see who is the Baddest Street Car in the area.

Registration is from 10:30am-11:45am. You MUST register between these hours in order to participate in this event. You will give your name, address, color & type of vehicle that you will be driving. You will also receive a 2011 SCS Sticker which will need to be displayed on the lower front Driver side of your car.

At 12pm, we will fire up the cars and head out to Tri-State Dragway. Participating vehicles will be DRIVEN under their own power to Tri-State. Support Vehicles/Tow Vehicles can driven at the tail end of the convoy.

The route is simple....Head out of Kmart, turn right onto S Gilmore/Winton rd. Turn right onto I 275 (WEST). Travel to Colerain Ave (US 27) (Exit 33A/B) turn Right off exit. Travel North on 27 to Hwy 128 Ross Exit. Turn Right off exit and travel to Tri-State Dragway. (4 1/2 miles on Right)

You will tech in with Tri-State and adhere to all their Rules and regulations. Once you have your number, you can make as many runs as you want.

After your run and you receive your run ticket from Tri-States ticket booth, you will need to stop by the SCS Pop up. It will be located near the ET Slip booth.
You will tell the SCS Offical your Name and he in turn will check your time slip against the number on your car. Your run will be recorded in the Registration book (from Kmart) and the top 16 at the end of the day, will be awarded the Top 16 Stickers! Number 1 will also receive a Plaque.

Top 16 SHOOT-OUT!!

We will line up the Top 16 and have a HEADS UP SHOOTOUT!! It will be set up on the following Ladder!
1vs16................2vs15
3vs14................4vs13
5vs12................6vs11
7vs10................8vs9
The overall Winner will receive a Heads-up Shootout Plaque and a SCS "WINNER" sticker.


Cost for this.......Whatever TS charges for Test & Tune. Cincy Speed is supplying the Plaques and stickers.

I hope to see everyone there, Daily Drivers, Street Cars, Race cars disquised as Street cars, Diesels....whatever. Bikes can run, but will not be in the hunt for the Top 16.

There was no confusion. All cars drove to the shootout. The Capri broke it off in the new 5.0 and Beefcake was all upset cause it left on a trailer.

Same delimma here. Will be out but may only make a pass to see how it runs and then sit back and watch. Will depend on track conditions being I don't have DR's or slicks.

You CAN trailer your car to the starting point. You HAVE to DRIVE your car, on the street, NOT Trailered to the track. When you are finished racing, you CAN load up your car and trailer it home. Hows that?:bigthumb

I would like to see ALL the competitors, after a day of racing, DRIVE their cars up to Quaker Steak & Lube for an impromptu cruise in/get together. Nothing like hanging out, eating some kick ass food and talking about the KICK ASS Day of racing!!:cool1:

What a great day even though I didn't run, wwould not have had a chance at the 16, and even though I left my camera bag at home and brought my PlayStation 2 bag by mistake (They are similar in size).

Had a good time and beat my best mph record. I also killed my clutch and probably my throw out bearing in the process because now the car will not shift out of gear. On the way home I was followed by a cop while stuck in 1st gear at 30mph which wasn't a good feeling. I had to turn the car off at the stop light and restart it in first. Oh well, that's racing.

I had a good time as well! Thanks Craig and one day Ill be there in a car to run. But the Dart made #7 again and made it past the first round but it got pretty hot on that pass. Seems the water pump motor went south and it got to 260. It fired right up at home and made no noises. Hopefully it didnt hurt anything. I did get alot of pics so Ill start downloading soon.

Thanks! When we first pulled up he fealt like an outcast with all the Mustangs there. Then the others started rolling in and he calmed down! Maybe soon we'll get the coupe finished up so maybe Ill make the spring SCS. Thats what we're shooting for. We still got some bugs to work out with the Dart before the bottle goes on.
