I am Posting to share with you some very exciting news. I have decided
to run The 2011 Marine Corps Marathon on October 30, 2011 with
TeamAICR - Gnar Wallz! I am running the marathon in honor of all those whose lives
have been affected by cancer. As I train over the next few months to
complete this 26.2 mile endurance event, I dedicate the miles to those
who are enduring or have endured something far more difficult, cancer.
They are my inspiration.

I have committed to raising at least $1,000 to help AICR’s important
cancer research and education programs continue and grow. Great
strides have been made, but there still is much to learn. I hope you
will support my efforts by making a contribution. Please visit my
personal page to make a donation online.

http://www.aicr.org/site/TR/Marathons/teamraiser?px=7141407&pg=personal&fr_id=1160

If you prefer to make a donation by check, you may make it payable to
AICR. Include my name and "MCM" in the memo line and mail the checks
to:

Katie Walls/TeamAICR Coordinator
American Institute for Cancer Research
1759 R Street, NW
Washington DC, 20009

Thank you so much for your support. I look forward to being in touch
with you as my marathon training and fundraising efforts continue!

Sincerely,

Mark :bigthumb

Great cause Mark.

Why don't we organize a community fun night to raise funds? We could do a cruise-in/fundraiser at my Fiance's Restaurant...huge lot, and they would donate a portion of the proceeds from that night to your cause.

Plus we could all get together and hang out, and give money....

My grandfather died from complications of cancer in 2006. It is a shame that all the good people in the world get taken away while the murders and rapist's live. Thank you for doing this to help cancer research. Every little bit helps

Community fun night is a great idea, hangout and raise some money for a good cause, lost a close friend in September 2010, found out he had cancer in August, doctors gave him 5 weeks to live, he passed on at 4 weeks......terrible death. Big SALUTE to you sir!

Cancer got a small piece of me about 4 years ago. I consider myself lucky. A co workers wife is fighting breast cancer for the second time and its not looking good. She's not going to make it the way things look. Sad.

If Mark is agreeable, and the Mods have no problem with it, I can make the arrangements. We just need to pick a date.

It is the Bob Evans in Kings Mills, right near 71. It has a large parking lot, and we can rope of the rear lot to save all of those spots.
