Transmission help needed!

My brother's 2004 f150 trans doesnt seem to shift into overdrive. He says it goes from 3rd into neutral. It runs fine when he turns overdrive off. The truck is the newer body style and it has 68,000 miles on it. Any suggestions on what to check?

That is what a lot of overdrive transmissions do when overdrive goes out. It will probably need rebuilt.

How is Winston doing I haven't talked to him in ages. I finally broke the impact he gave me for Christmas about 6 months ago. I miss winston, Larry well that is a different story.....

Larry retired a long time back. Winston owns it now, he's doing good.
