can someone help me get the timing right on 90 lx please can get it to start any tips or tricks would help

It shoudl be under the hood but as a rule of thumb on fords I always do 10degrees with the spout disconnected.

He may be asking how to preset it on a none running engine. Can it be set with a timing light while just cranking it over?

I just align them as straight as I can get them and get someone to crank it while I turn the distributor. it sounds to me like something else is wrong.
