-Spectator - $5.00 a person..Kids 12 and under are free!

-Racer - $10.00

Import and Domestic will run out the 16 entries till one winner in each class remains

The Winners from both Domestic and Import Classes will then have a chance from a best of three Heads up races to Win the Crown of KING of the STREETS and the $100.00 prize money

ANYONE RUNNING THE KING OF THE STREETS :

1- If you are running in either of the 3 sections you must come find me Prior to the start of King of the Streets so I (Rob, short guy with the Mic) can get your info and get you signed up

2- If you are Running in the race and are in the pit lanes with your car you must!!!! **stay by your car at all times during the event**.. If you are not ready to go within 3 mins of me calling your class to the lanes you will be Disqualified from the Field.... No arguments!!!

3- A Mandatory Drivers Meeting will Take place before we start the Racing so please make sure to make yourself Present

4- Have Fun and Stay Safe

Ive got about 1000 mi on the new clutch I think its ready. Does anyone know if it cost to run in the King of Street? I wont win but Ill give it hell. And does anyone know what kind of times that 240 was turning? Hopefully some of faster stangs on here start going. And do they have a dyno yet? I didnt see it.

Thats cool. That was my thought as well. From the sounds of it, most of the cars down there are mid 11's and slower so I figure my low 11 second junk might be able to do something. I hear they aren't spraying the track though so who knows. Either way it should be fun and you cant win if you dont go. It will be at least 2 weeks or so before I can make one. The wife is getting surgery next wednesday. So next week is out for me with the exception of UMTR next Saturday. I exploded my countershaft in my tranny the other day so I am down til next week anyways.

Yeah, not as good of a showing as previous weeks...A 350z from Louisville came in and cleaned house...quite a bit of drama is being stirred up over this one...i can see both sides to this, but didn't participate so I can't really bitch! :lol:

Yeah I went. Ran the Cobra. Was disappointed with it. It was the first time I ran it since I put the new clutch in. It seemed like it just didnt have the pull it before. But the times werent too bad. Considering I couldnt get out of the hole on my street tires. But I knew that would happen. My best was a 12.71 at 116.58. My best 60ft time was 2.214. I had horrible 60 times. But the clutch felt great.

I always have a good time at this event. I cant wait till some of the big guns on here show up and put these guys in there place. I did the King of the Street. I ran against the little white Lotus looking car. He got me by maybe a car length. Damn street tires. I dont agree with the way they do the KOS. The winner from last week dont have to run all the races. I think he should have to run just like the rest of them. Anyways, I had a good time.

Yeah I know. Im working on that. I had brand new street tires on. I kept my old ones to beat up on at the track but I was too lazy to put them on Thursday. I have a set of goodyear slicks (27x15x10.5) Im working on a set of rims for them. If not I might just get a set DR's.

I agree. I hope some of the faster guys bring their stuff on thursday. I would love to see a mustang win every week. It only cost $10 and you could win $50-$100. Its not much I know but its fun. And if your the KOS the next week you only have to run in the finals. Only 2-3 runs. Cant wait to see you guys start busting some A##! LOL!

Thursday Night Lightz Rule Changes going in effect on July 14th 2011


If you are Spectating and or Racing:

-Beer is not allowed period - You will be subject to search at the gate – If you are caught with store bought Alcohol on the premises you will be removed (This has been a rule since day one)

-If you are caught Smuggling People in your trunk.. you will not be welcomed back for the rest of the season

-Minimum of 5 cars for the burnout contest for a payout to be offered


If you are Racing:

-Trailers will be allowed starting July 14th 2011 (this is only fair to the out of state drivers who wish to attend TNL)

-All cars will need to be OEM Stock chassis, meaning: No Tube frame cars.. Cages are welcome as always

-All cars will need valid tags installed on the Car at Tech to race Heads up and KOTS*

-All Cars will need Proof of registration at Tech to race Heads up and KOTS*

-All Cars will need Proof of Insurance at Tech to race Heads up and KOTS*

-Working running lights

-Working headlights (If only one is operational that is fine)

-Working Brake Lights

-13.99 and below will need a Helmet

-11.49 and below will need either a full cage or a Roll bar installed…

-All Racers will need Long pants and a Shirt.. (No wife beaters)











King of the Streets New Rules:

**Must apply to all rules stated above for Thursday Night lightz**

-A maximum of 3 crew members will be permitted on the track for KOTS*

-Anyone who is not staff will not be permitted on the track at any time (unless otherwise stated)

-5 min mandatory cool down will only be allowed for the last 3 KOTS* Runs

-There will be a time clock started in clear view of all drivers whenever both cars are staged
-If you go over you will lose that round and we will continue on to the next..
-Both cars must still make a pass if this occurs..

-5 min cool down will be allowed for the Import vs. Domestic before the king of the streets race

-If we feel that you are taking too much time getting to the staging lanes when we are running your class the timer will be started..
-If you have not shown up by the time the 5 minutes are over you will forfeit the race..

-Car/Bike lengths will no longer be allowed for negotiation’s for safety reasons..
-In place for Car/Bike lengths we have implemented a countdown system in 1 second intervals
-If you have any questions about the above please ask

-Registration for KOTS* Will be closed @ 10pm.. No arguments

-All participant’s Need to stay by their cars throughout the KOTS* competition at all times..
-If you hold up KOTS in any way you will be disqualified..

-Minimum of 8 Bikes will need to participate in the KOTS* for a payout to be offered

-Payouts will stay the same


Knight of the Streets will be for 12.99 and above:

-We have implemented a Class for the 12.99 and above cars

-A Maximum Field of 32 drivers will be allowed to participate in the Knight of the Streets completion

-If you run faster than 12.99 in the competition you will be disqualified

-Pay outs are the same as King of the streets

my car launches like a beast at every track i go to, except local. i know the purpose built race cars still seem to hook up decent, but the average car does not.

does it cost that much to keep a track prepped?

it went to shit when the started the thursaday crap .. they used to have a nice base from all the bracket racing on sat and no one would run on it till friday and then they would lett a few cars go down with no prep and then spray and dust so the rubber stick to the track instead of sreading off . now they run a hole night with no prep and the track shreads up and makes 3 foot bald spots . and there is no fixing that in a few hours of trying to prep it . it will take the cops or a few cars crashing for them to do anything so might as well go down and make some gas money thursday night to go to a good track and test

Its been overheating and it busted the radiator expansion tank. And the High speed fan is out. Just a stupid overheating issue is all Ill get it worked out.

The 350z wont be back. He runs to fast not to have a cage in his car,and he said he wont install one. So they wont let him run again.

Thursday Night Lightz Rule Changes going in effect on July 14th 2011


If you are Spectating and or Racing:

-Beer is not allowed period - You will be subject to search at the gate – If you are caught with store bought Alcohol on the premises you will be removed (This has been a rule since day one)

-If you are caught Smuggling People in your trunk.. you will not be welcomed back for the rest of the season

-Minimum of 5 cars for the burnout contest for a payout to be offered


If you are Racing:

-Trailers will be allowed starting July 14th 2011 (this is only fair to the out of state drivers who wish to attend TNL)

-All cars will need to be OEM Stock chassis, meaning: No Tube frame cars.. Cages are welcome as always

-All cars will need valid tags installed on the Car at Tech to race Heads up and KOTS*

-All Cars will need Proof of registration at Tech to race Heads up and KOTS*

-All Cars will need Proof of Insurance at Tech to race Heads up and KOTS*

-Working running lights

-Working headlights (If only one is operational that is fine)

-Working Brake Lights

-13.99 and below will need a Helmet

-11.49 and below will need either a full cage or a Roll bar installed…

-All Racers will need Long pants and a Shirt.. (No wife beaters)











King of the Streets New Rules:

**Must apply to all rules stated above for Thursday Night lightz**

-A maximum of 3 crew members will be permitted on the track for KOTS*

-Anyone who is not staff will not be permitted on the track at any time (unless otherwise stated)

-5 min mandatory cool down will only be allowed for the last 3 KOTS* Runs

-There will be a time clock started in clear view of all drivers whenever both cars are staged
-If you go over you will lose that round and we will continue on to the next..
-Both cars must still make a pass if this occurs..

-5 min cool down will be allowed for the Import vs. Domestic before the king of the streets race

-If we feel that you are taking too much time getting to the staging lanes when we are running your class the timer will be started..
-If you have not shown up by the time the 5 minutes are over you will forfeit the race..

-Car/Bike lengths will no longer be allowed for negotiation’s for safety reasons..
-In place for Car/Bike lengths we have implemented a countdown system in 1 second intervals
-If you have any questions about the above please ask

-Registration for KOTS* Will be closed @ 10pm.. No arguments

-All participant’s Need to stay by their cars throughout the KOTS* competition at all times..
-If you hold up KOTS in any way you will be disqualified..

-Minimum of 8 Bikes will need to participate in the KOTS* for a payout to be offered

-Payouts will stay the same


Knight of the Streets will be for 12.99 and above:

-We have implemented a Class for the 12.99 and above cars

-A Maximum Field of 32 drivers will be allowed to participate in the Knight of the Streets completion

-If you run faster than 12.99 in the competition you will be disqualified

-Pay outs are the same as King of the streets

it went to shit when the started the thursaday crap .. they used to have a nice base from all the bracket racing on sat and no one would run on it till friday and then they would lett a few cars go down with no prep and then spray and dust so the rubber stick to the track instead of sreading off . now they run a hole night with no prep and the track shreads up and makes 3 foot bald spots . and there is no fixing that in a few hours of trying to prep it . it will take the cops or a few cars crashing for them to do anything so might as well go down and make some gas money thursday night to go to a good track and test

becuase it teaers the track sufface up when you race on it with no cemicals to premote the ruber to bond to the sufface . that why since it started you show up on fridays and there is 3 foot wide bald spots at the starting line form the cars spining the ruber off on thursday and so its now a waste of time to show up and race on friday since they cant fix it till sat when big tire cars go down the track all day

yep saw those on friday when i went there with my son. All the cars were having serious traction issues. There were two pretty sick n20 stangs there that were spinning something fierce out of the chutes. There were a couple of slick cars hooking good but they were the exception.

the whole trailer thing i think is silly, it's supposed to be for street racers, and street cars, but they are now allowing trailers for those coming away.

so,, that means there would be 97 cars racing instead of 100?? lol

that belair was cookin down the track. looked like he was hookin up perty good. there was a newer gt maybe 2010 or so that was having traction issues but was haulin ass. I wish they had the times up just for fun.

I went to this for the first time this year and i must say it was a blast!
i thought it would be all imports but i was wrong it was a good mix of everything
only down fall was their was only 1 maby 2 mustangs in the shootout i thought their would be much more
anyhow well wroth the 5 bucks

Thats how they do it for the Knight of the street but the King of the street there is no break out. First car across the beam wins. Unless they didnt follow their ever changing rules. That sometimes change race to race. And sometimes you can agrue your way back into the race.

I think there were 2 imports and about maybe 10 domestic for the King and about 25 for the Knight.
