I know its nothing big but I like the difference in look. This is one of those inexpensive magnetic jobs from American Muscle, and I'm a little concerned about its longevity but for $39 bucks I figure its not a giant loss if I end up tossing it 6 months to a year from now. I figure if I like the look enough, which I think I do, I can always have someone mask off the section and shoot it with something permanent.

Considering adding black tail light trim bezels also to round out the look. Next purchase is the black/unpainted chin spoiler and the windows get tinted in 9 days. Still debating in my head 35% vs. 20%. Hopefully in 9 days I can make up my mind.

That's it... nothing huge, just wanted to share.

The smoked tails... did it look 'painted' or were they more like the GTS lexan smoked covers? Could you tell?

The panel bewteen the tails comes factory painted same color as the body. So the top image is the stock image and the bottom is with the American Muscle decklid black out panel. Actaully funny you asked... one of my coworkers commented that its a pretty drastic change. I replied 'Ya think? I think most people will see it and not even know its not made that way.'

I dont have a pic, but it looks good with the black taillight bezel with the center blacked out. I put them on my 06.

Hmmm... well? It's actually just one image. I pasted both before and after pictures in to one image. On your phone can you scroll down?

Jlt... On the American Muscle site someone had done the same and uploaded their shots to the customer images. When I saw it I liked it right away. I could be tempted to go with tinted lights but the bezel look was the one that got be thinking.

Looks good. I really like the honeycomb plastic piece you can buy for that panel even more.

I like that one also... minus the thickness of it. It almost makes the chrome GT lid emblem flush with the panel. This thing is thin enough that if you don't look closely you could be fooled that its painted on.

Actually... looking at it again, its not even flush but looks recessed:

I like it, classic, reminds me of the BOSS 302.

I agree! I've also been toying with the Boss-like single black stripe from the front edge of the hood up to the scoop. My Mrs. wants me to do the standard S197 Stang dual LeMans style stripes but I'd like to keep mine a little different if possible.
