Any recent mods?

Check all vacuum lines. Then when you done with that, check them all again.

I had the same issue with my car after installing new intake plenum. My dumbass forgot to plug one of the holes in the lower side of the upper intake.

Did this problem just start? Did you get the car this way? Any mods recently? There are tons of places to start troubleshooting, but a little more history and detail might help get someone to point you in the right direction...

yeah, there is a new motor in the car -dss 306, gt 40 heads, holley sytem max intake, 70mm tb, 60lb injectors, 255lbr fuel pump along with 76mm turbo kit, everything is hooked up, ignition module, distributor, ECT. I believe all the vacume lines are hooked up right. i dont think its a fuel issue because im getting pressure on the guage mounted to the fuel rails.

Jim not to sound dumb but what is the IAC? As far as the start up tune goes i have has a sct chip burnt for it and its already on the car, mike down at Pauls High performance did it for me. this is my first real car build so i wasnt sure of what all was entailed as far as what he did when he burnt the chip, but he asked me if the egr was removed and what size injectors i was running and what size the engine was and that was it.

Idle air control. Its around the throttle body area. I had a car just the other day that I took it off and cleened it. It was dark when I put it back on and I forgot the put the pulg back on it. It would start up and then die. Every time. Then I remembered to plug it in and it ran perfect after that.

IAC is the idle air control. Its located on the throttle body opposite the gps(throttle position sensor). The iac allows air to bypass the throttle body. Its about the size of a d size battery. It has an electronic connector on it.

I would still check for vacuum leaks. And the tune in the chip has alot to do with running. I would make sure that he has the things in the chip burnt correctly. You can call him and have him go back through it.

been doing alot of work on the car, went over everything, also talked to the guy that did my chip on the car he seems to think its too rich of a tune on the computer so hes going to change it on the chip and we will go from there, i will let you guys know if this fixes the problem.
