I know its not a stang but thought I would share some pics from my latest build. Still has a couple weeks to go but should have it back soon. List of mods so far

5.13 Superior gears
Detroits front and rear
Rough Country 3.5" lift
Jks quick disconnects
ProComp wheels coated by me
315/70/17 BFG a/t's
Custom front/rear bumpers and rock sliders by Red 9 Fab
Smittybuilt XRC10 winch
Diablosport Trinity programmer

I've had the Jeep since Jan but have barely driven it due to problems getting the title due to a dumb credit union and then off for the mods. I can't wait to get it back and drop the top and finally enjoy some of this nice weather. I also keep kicking around the possibility of a LS swap or possibly a 4bt diesel swap but that will be next year at the soonest.

Price on those bumpers?

mustangboy
05-30-2011, 10:07 PM
Price on the bumpers is still pending. They need to finish the mock up and and then send them to the laser cutter to be measured. As soon as they get some firm pricing together I will post it up. Not sure how many they are looking to do in the initial run but they would like to do them is some quantity. BTW there is a Jeep shop in FL that is putting together a complete swap kit to do the 4bt swap. Look on JKowners.com there is a thread about it. Sounds like it would be a kickass way to go.:bigthumb

Forgot to post a pic of the rock sliders. I'm also thinking I will coat the bumpers and sliders in the same color as the wheels. I want to do something different than the black that everyone else has

Lookin' good Kenny! Can't wait to see the finished product. Not sure how I feel about the wheels though. Seem a little old school compared to the rest of the rig.

I'm usually on jeepforums, I think the 4b would be bad ass though

I love everything about our 4 door Wrangler with the exception of the 3.8. It is way under powered . Especially with bigger tires . I wish they atleast had 4.0 liters again . A 5.7 or 6.1 Hemi would be perfect though :bigthumb

I've seen one with a Hemi it fits very nicely

Yeah for the life of me I've never understood why they don't put a v8 in the wrangler, especially the 4 doors. Hemi swaps are very common but are pretty expensive. LS swaps are starting to become more common and there is a company working on a kit to make everything compatible. The 4bt diesel swap really has my attention though.

LS all the way. Nothing like cammed V8 in the woods ;) Wish you could have made it to Harlan with us this past weekend. Had a great time and came home in one piece.

Sweet, I'll get out there one day. Jeep Speed Shop is working out a few wiring kinks and then should have something ready for market. to do the swap. LQ's are pretty cheap so I gonna have to keep my eyes open for one or for a good diesel. I think the LS swap may be just a bit cheaper.

Have any of you guys ever made the venture across Indiana to the Badlands in Attica? Good times. Has some pretty technical areas . Lots of Pea gravel and slick rocks. My brother in law was just at Harlan a couple weeks ago. He really likes it down there. Our local Jeep club has a yearly event in Paoli, Indiana at Wilstem. It isnt actually an off road park but for this one event they let part of it become one :bigthumb

I've been to the Badlands a few times but at equal travel time I would rather go to Harlan.

Throw a hemi in there. They fit perfectly!

mustangboy
05-31-2011, 05:17 PM
Yeah they fit perfectly but they are very expensive and get worse mileage than the 3.8. Both the ls and 4bt can be had for alot less and both get better mileage. Not that I expect to get 30mpg but every little bit helps.:D

Thanks Greg, I'm sure you'll see me around. There have been a couple changes. After extensive fabricating and prototyping it has been determined that producing the front and rear bumpers will not be cost effective. So my poison spyder front and rear are on their way. However Red 9 will be producing the rock sliders. They turned out really nice as well as super strong. I've also talked with them about producing some tube doors so look for those in the future. As soon as the bumpers get here I will get them coated and mounted along with the winch and then get some good pics.

Here are a couple updated pics. Just added Poison spyder front and rear bumpers and a smittybuilt xrc10 winch. Adding the bumper and winch did cause the front to drop a little but I'll address that down the road. Just need to find a matching tire for my spare and it will pretty much be done for the moment:D

I thought you were going Red9 bumpers? Looks sick either way though. You can def tell that front end came down. Looks kinda cool raked though lol. You are a baller Kenny.

I was gonna do the Red9's but Mike was not 100% satisfied with the way the were turning out and after prototyping them realized they could not compete on price with the Chinese made stuff. Their rock rails they did for me turned out awesome and they will be producing those.

Funny how everyone Bitches about the Chinese taking jobs, but then turn around and buy American Products produced in China...(not ragging on Kenny, just stating a point)

Do you need us to find you an LSx for that Jeep?:bigthumb

Keep your eyes out for a good cheap one. Also it would be best to pull from a 4x4 truck as I would need the tranny/transfer case as well. I'm still going back and forth on weather to sell my car or not and if I do I will be doing it definately this winter. If I keep the car I may wait a little longer. It would definately be BAD ASS to do :bigthumb
