I finally decided and purchased a new project. 85 vert with a saleen body kit with sub-frame connectors full tubular control arms and springs from Kenny brown . 5spd. This will be a slow progress but excited to be back in the stang world. I can tell at one time this car was a real header and was built to shine. But that was then and today she is rough around the edges............
Plans
331 build up
new top and paint..
keeping the body kit but ditching all the saleen badges ( anyone need them)
7.5 to a 8.8 swap (3:73)
Just want a nice street machine to enjoy the sun.. after this car is underway i will be on the hunt for a Notch to just keep ugly and fast :D

Well the first weekend i spent rewiring alot of things.. Its pretty bad when u have to cut a speaker wire just get the seat belt to roll properly. Got a new clutch fan installed but still running a bit warm "time to add an electric fan" . I will put up some new pics of the suspension set up as i redo some rear bushings....... Glad to be back building and cussing !!!

well.... I made some progress yesterday. I will have to uplaod some pics later on. The progress has been slow due to working on moving into a new house and just collecting parts...i gutted the backseat and panels yesterday and got one of two seat belts working (wifes seat belt is still not working). I went on a parts run and on monday i will have two good seats and door panels out of a junkyard 86. It was nice to finally find a good donor with canyon red interior. Yesterday i picked up a dash cover and a gt cluster plate..just those two pieces made a world of a difference..picked up my double hump crossmember (thanks moody)....... 3 out of 10,000 things done :) i think thats called progress

Well.... Figured i would put up a little progress update. I have been doing odds and ends over the last few months ( long story). Well i bought some new seats and was about to install them when i discovered my floor was in bad shape and the more i dug into the floor the more Rust i found. I picked up a passenger floor pan from Stolly and thought i was good to go.... WRONG... so i decided to park it for the rest of the year and and pull the engine. I am pulling the engine tonight and and will be starting on the fixing the minor rust in the towers and working from front to back to get this thing fix and sealed up with some POR-15. It went from changing a seat to the start of a restore ... But here is a few pics of what i have been going through...
The good thing is i can do it right and go ahead and get my engine goodies finished up while i piece my money together to get this thing ready for next spring.. It should be fixed and painted by next summer......

I'm on the lesser end of mustang knowledge, but if you need someone to trade labor with let me know. An extra set of hands and eyes can come in handy.
