Most of you are aware of the high-quality suspension components offered by UPR Products with a lifetime guarantee. But did you know that UPR Products suspension systems are designed, manufactured, tested, and tweaked with constant feedback from the racers who use them?

Jeremy Martorella is a widely known and respected drag racer from south Florida. In 20+ years of drag racing, he has earned three Fun Ford Weekend Championships and is a hired gun for UPR Products, Lethal Performance, and several grudge racers across the south. (you didn't hear that last part from me) Basically, if the drag strip is open, Jeremy is either there racing or he's helping someone else develop their program. He puts all of this experience to good use with his day job as the Sales Manager of UPR Products in Lake Worth, Florida.

This past Friday, Jeremy and the Unlimited Performance crew brought their twin-turbo '93 Mustang GT to Palm Beach International Raceway to make some test hits with its new stock-style UPR Products suspension and radial tires.

Ride along with Jeremy as he cranks out an impressive 7.81 @ 179 on stock suspension and street tires!

Damn Spam!

You're going to have to get vendor status, if you keep it up, guy!

Nice run, BTW!

I guess you could call it spam... I put in the plug for UPR, but my main objective was to tell everyone that Jeremy kicked azz on Friday!

Anyway, I asked 05yellowGt about site sponsorship in the moderators forum months ago. Haven't heard back yet.

Regardless, I'm not trying to sell anything in this post. I was spreading the news. :cool1:

So what exactly are "street tires?"

Tires that are deemed legal for street use by the Department of Transportation?

Well drag radials and street tires are entirely different in most people's books. Either way still pretty damn cool.

If you're going to ask him for anything Chris why don't you ask him for what's under the hood! If you don't know what's under there you havent seen his articles in 5.0.......

Glad you like it! You'll love the UPR Pro Series arms. (assuming that's what you have) I daily drove on those with the notch in the pics up above. That car worked really well on the street with those 17" DRs. :cool1:

Hahaha! Be careful what you wish for... I think my car is cursed. The hatch might bring you bad mojo. NOTHING has been easy on this car!! And yep, 17x6.5 & 17x10 Pony Rs on my notch. LOVED that car!!! (RIP)

Yeah, other than the chassis, the engine really is the star of the show. Can't wait to hear it run. The car is going to the welder's tomorrow to have the intake piping fabbed. If the ECU shows up next week, we'll fire it up. LONG TIME COMING!!!

It was in the thread called New Vendor in the moderator's section, dated 4/11/11 I believe. I wasn't trying to be a weasel, promise! At any rate, PM sent!

So are you going to be a UPR vendor Sharad?

I've been a UPR dealer since 2002, just never advertised it. Now I do tech support for them as well.

lol eh if you're gonna ask might as well ask for the pot of gold lol

So far it's been one big headache, but people tell me it'll all be worth it in the end! :D Like I said up there, if the ECU shows up next week, I should be able to fire it up for the first time in almost two years!! :cool1:

I have a 14 year history with that car. I bought it back in '96 when I met my wife. Put it back on the road last year and was loving it. At the time of that picture above, it was still around 77k original miles last summer. Then I got t-boned and it totaled the car. I was gonna fix it anyway, but it was tweaked pretty hard.

That thing was irreplaceable to me. Nevermind that before it was totaled, people constantly offered me twice what insurance paid out on it. There's also the sentimental value that cannot be replaced. What a bummer. That's the thing though, if you drive a fox, you realize that you could lose it all. I was only insured for book value, which was a mistake. I thought about getting some kind of specialty insurance many times, but never did. Oh well. I won't make the same mistake on the '89 when I get it running.

Yessir. The '89 was apart for a while getting the roll cage installed. Now it's getting the blower piping, seat mounts, and harness mounts welded as we speak. When I get it back next week, I should be able to video the "first startup". That is, if the ECU arrives next week as promised. I'll be able to finish the drivetrain & cage article then. Next is the EFI article. Then the dyno & drag testing article will probably be the last Project Shocker article. :(

The good news is, I'm doing a 5.0 Mustang Mag tech article about my 2006 GT that I'm taking to Sebring International Raceway this weekend to test some handling suspension. It should be a good time, and maybe that article will open some new doors?

I'll post up when I have updates on the '89, and specifics about the publishing.

As for opening new doors, lets just say that I HOPE the article I'm writing on my '06 is well received.

Stangman, I think THIS is the picture you were thinking about:

NOW I remember that car! The Pony R's threw me off. Good lawd, runnin no springs on that one? lol

It was LOW when I was driving it back in '96-97, but then it sat for 12 yrs without being driven and the springs basically collapsed. I pieced it together with hand-me-downs from my '89 and it was an absolute riot. Really, the car was a heap of crap (a heap of crap that I loved more than life itself) but it ran pretty well for what it was. 236rwhp, but I've got a video on facebook of me beating a Camaro SS with it. It was the little coupe that could. :D
