i,m about to reassemble the timing chain cover on my gt,but i seem to be having a hella-va time getting the rubber gasket into the curved bottom of the cover.
my question is do all or most of you use the gasket,or do some of you fill it with rtv or another product.

Did you mix thr gaskets up when you put them in? They usually just go right back into place. I kinda have alittle trouble with valve cover gaskets. What I do there is just put a drop or black rtv in a few spots then set the gasket in it. Let it sit up for a while then put the cover on. Try that.

Start the edges of thje gasket then gently work towards the center. A few dabs of rtv helps. If the gasket stretched out during removal I suggest a new one.
