This weekend I am installing GT40 upper and lower set including injectors rails and throttle body out of a 96 explorer. My question is do i need to install the mass air sensor from the explorer or can i keep my factory one and use it.

You can use your factory one. The explorer has the same size injectors (19lb) as your car does. I am also assuming that your car is a 1990 5.0 lx.
