Most of the time it is a bad ground or a broken wire.

Are they the harbor freight lights? I had good luck with the set I got but my uncle had all of them not working. Only one of my markers did not work so make sure to check for power at the lamps.

I would rather poke my eyes out with a butter knife than work on trailer wiring. How can something so easy be such a pain in the arse?

If its not a bad ground on the tounge check the grounds near each individual light. I wired up a boat trailer in the spring and grounding the individual lights was just as problematic as grounding the tounge

It's better than working on lawnmowers.....did I mention I hate small engines?
