Made a trip to Dayton Performance today for a tune, very surprised with the results!

RWHP- 513.52@6100
RWTQ- 464.49@4800

Combo: Novi 1000(12.5# of boost),stock 302 shortblock(fresh),twisted wedge heads,typhoon intake, stock cam/1.7 rockers,longtubes/2.5 borlas.

First pull WITH BASE tune was 468/441, which was way more than I expected to leave there with! James(quartermilerocket) and Steve(mustard) were guessing a max of 430, I was guessing a max of 440, boy were we off! Only negative is I need to step up on the injectors/maf as they were both pegging, guess that's a good problem to have though! Thanks Mike for doing such an awesome job with the tune, I couldn't be happier!

vera-vera nice!!!! Amazing. You indicate a stock 302 block. Does that suggest all of the internals are stock as well, or has there been upgrades to support this HP and Torque increase? Just curious for learning purposes. Thanks.

Yes, stock forged pistons/stock rods and bolts/stock crank/no girdle. Just freshed with new rings and bearings after a dingleball hone.

Haha you got that right! Pretty sad I had to put a blower on mine to beat his N/A car! Wonder how long it willl take for Mark to get some form of power adder on his?:) Thanks for all the kind words guys! Its killing me to get this to the track, unfortunately I have ASE recerts on thursday and am going out of town this weekend:(

That is real impressive. I would have expected some upgrades at minimum to the rotating assembly such as connecting rods, crank, and journal bearings. Can't wait for this thing to go down the track and see the numbers you post up. Good luck and thanks for sharing. I would have never dreamed that a stock 302 short block freshened up would handle that level of power. :bigthumb:bigthumb:bigthumb
