Has anyone ever put 05 up seats into a fox. I have a thing for red leather and want to put red leather seats in my car against the black interior. I have yet to find a nice set of these seats.

Thanks
Chris

I think you'd sit way too high.

That is sort of what i figured. My other thought was to recover some 2000 anniversary edition silver and charcoal seats in red.. Anyone know of a place that will make custom seat covers?

I dunno, i may be totally wrong. Now that i think about it, Plated's car seemed to sit pretty low in the seat. It would be nice if you could try it out before you committed money to it.

I put the seats in the car they are talking about and you dont sit any higher than stock seat as long as you cut the high brackets down. Stolly113 is tall as hell, i think he is like 8ft tall:lol: and he fits in there just fine..

they mount funny in the 05 cars they hook in the front and bolt in the back. I have a passanger 05 seat i popped the track off and there flat so i think you could make the fox tracks work and not have to mod the floor in your car

No real instll pics. I cut the factory 05 seat brackets and modified them to fit the floor and welded some bolts to the bottom of the seat so you can bolt them in.. I think it would be easier if you used the fox seat tracks and made brackets to mount them to the 05 seat.

So does this mean they dont slide back and forth ?

No they slide back and forth and work just like a newer mustang...

So he cut them length wise , so they fit in the fox seat holes ? Just trying to get an idea on what he cut out to make them work. I think they look killer in his car and wouldnt mind having a set in mine when the money affords it.

I cut rivets off the brackets that are riveted to the seats. Welded bolts on the seat tracks, then i welded the brackets to the floor of the car, and then the bolts that i welded to the actual seat tracks go in the original holes on the brackets that i welded to the floor. You can still unbolt the seats and they slide like normal. I wish i would have taken pics but i forgot.
