I've been doing some research on ways to run the wiring for the battery relocation to the passenger side hatch area. My head hurts from all of the different diagrams I've seen... There are so many different ways to do it and I think I have it narrowed down.

Being that my car is a 93, it came with a factory mini starter, so it has a solenoid on the starter itself as well as a starter solenoid on the driver side inner fender. I'm also running an electric water pump and contour fans, so I'm going to have quite a bit of juice flowing.

The relocation box is already mounted and the ground off of the battery is currently going into one of the quad shock mount holes. I will also have a ground going all the way to the front to the block.

I started with this diagram for more of a general idea as far as how everything connects and flows:

I think out of all the diagrams though, this one looks the best to me:

One of my questions is what is the advantage of relocating the starter relay to the rear of the car?

If I do end up going that route, I plan on mounting it similar to this:

Joe was going to do my relocation at first but haven't heard from him. He had me buy two of these power junction blocks like found in this article:

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/m5lp_0210_battery_relocation_and_wiring/battery_cables.html

So if I use that second diagram, the power distribution blocks would serve as the fuse box correct?

Do the cable sizes, relays and fuses appear to be the correct size I should get?

One more piece of info that I forgot to leave out is that I run a 170amp 3g alternator. I would think I would want to run something like a 200amp circuit breaker instead of the 150amp unit that is in the diagram?

If im not mistakin, the relay in the rear makes it easier to start. I just stuck my battery in the trunk, ran a fat cable negative and ran a positive to the relay which is still up front on the fenderwell. Im still charging good and it starts great. So I never moved my relay.

This is what I'm doing with mine James. Planning on putting the relay under the dash where I can push the tabs in on my glovebox for quick access. Although with the battery disconnect in the rear, the chance of stuck relay isn't as big a deal.
