well we got the car all put together over the weekend. so now the setup i have is.

explorer upper and lower.
gt40 heads
b303 cam
24lb injectors
bbk fuel pressure regulater
75mm throtle body,mass air,and egr spacer

we set the f/p at 32 with vacum off and car seems to be running really rich?
i messed with it today and set it at 28 where i had heard ppl run it to and still seems way to rich?

i was wondering if any one has ran into this problem?

i am wondering to i noticed that when i just turn the key on and dont start the car my f/p drops on my gauge?

what would cause this or is it normal?????

the fuel pressure deopping off is normal i believe. Now it is also possible you have a fuel pressure gauge. i would definately check and make sure you have the correct readings.

well after changin my oil pressure sending unit switch today i discovered that i had a very bad vacum leak under the upper intake. plug the whole up and its back to smooth idle and seemed to not run so rich so i hope thats it.
the surging on the idle quit after doing this also after the car was cold and started back up...... so lets hope that was the problem. car is running like a raped ape now.

thanks for the info on every thing guys. ill give it a cpl days and see how it turns out.....
