I like it. May get one for the capri.
That's a really nice, clean design.
Actually, their product mix seems pretty good in general. I like their "FIT" chassis system - http://buystifflers.com/1979-1993MustangFITSystem.aspx
I would like to see some of their stuff in person, to see the quality of the welds and such, but overall they look good.

Dang, I lied. After looking at the other 4 pictures, I see how far back it really is. Wow, didn't know anyone had a T-56 crossmember on the market.

LRS sells a similar subframe connector setup like Stifflers "FIT" system... I thik it's cheaper too... I cant rememmber.

I think their FIT system was a close copy of the old Kenny Brown system. I may be wrong but it looks really close to it.

I'm not so much after the "fit" system. Just the trans crossmember.

I ordered the part yesterday at 4:30pm. It showed up at my house today at 12:30 noon. So far, the customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. The part itself looks to be very high quality. Welds are solid and the finish is great. I hope to install it this weekend and see how easy it is to work with and find out how well it fits.
:salute: And it's made in the USA.

It does look really nice. I don't know if it would be an issue, but the plate where the trans mount bolts to is going to be the point where all the weight of the transmission is. Probably would have been a good idea to weld that plate all the way across on the top. Also would be nice to see the ends of tube where the bolts go through extend all the way to the tabs in the tranny tunnel. Seems like all of that stress is on the center of the small diameter dom tube, rather than the entire thing.
Are those smaller dom tube's where the bolt passes through aluminum?
What are the two brackets on each of the humps for?

I questioned this also, cause I have no idea what that would be for. The exhaust gets hung up in the upper trans braket,so its not for the exhaust.
In the photo on the website, that one doesnt have it. Only the last photo of the one installed on the car does it have those two tabs.
HA,found it.This is actually pretty badass. I think im going to order one.

That looks very similar to the AJE T56 crossmember I put in NC89GT's car. They definitely help with exhaust clearance

So, I talked to Stifflers today to get some answers.

Welded on inside/outside on ends plus the top, very strong!
Also would be nice to see the ends of tube where the bolts go through extend all the way to the tabs in the tranny tunnel.
Tubes are short to allow for adjustability forward/backward for different transmissions.
Are those smaller dom tube's where the bolt passes through aluminum?
Nope, they're nickel plated DOM tubing

The Spider brace, check it out on their website (http://buystifflers.com/spiderbrace-2.aspx)
From the way I understand it, the spider brace is freegin' awesome. For drag setups, it keeps the front from saggin' for better weight transfer...and better 60 foot times. For road race/street cars, when turning, the front end geometry gets all twisted. This brace will help with that. Sure a full on tube chassis or through the dash cage is great. But what about those that don't want to hack up their car or dash?

That thing fit like a glove! We held it strait up to the body, put a bushing in front and behind the crossmember, and bolted the tranny-mount strait up. Man, that thing is 100% quality and a pleasure to install. Looks very nice under there, too.
