Project drop top to NOTch

This is a project I'm working on for a friend. He has an 89 LX vert with a 347 and a TKO. He brought it over to have me install a Moser spool, axle, c clip elim kit, and a UPR rear pro kit. I have been hinting around to him for a while now to find a nice coupe roller and swap everything over to it from the vert. He is a little attached to the vert though so he always said no. While I was waiting on parts from Moser and UPR I decided to try one more time to talk him in to ditching the vert. I convinced him that spools and anti roll bars are not meant for verts and told him about a black 88 coupe that I found forsale on here. We went and looked at it and he bought it! Its going to need a new paint job and some interior work, but its a good solid car. By far better than the vert. So I'm now in the process of switching everything over and getting the new parts installed. Soon it will be getting a UPR K member kit and some other goodies. Oh, he is looking for a set of 5 lug welds if anybody has any! The vert might be forsale soon as a roller.

Both look like very nice cars! I dig the black coupe. Can't wait to get around to getting my 85 coupe in order and get it painted black.... good luck with the projects!

We also got a UPR rear coil over kit for Strange shocks. Its a nice kit, I'm going to put a pair on my car soon to.

Got the rearend put together and in the car. Waiting for the diff cover to show up, and still need to get the anti roll bar on, but the rest of the rear suspension is on. Also got the engine and radiator in and got everything hooked up. Waiting on parts for the TKO then it and the exhaust can go in to. Pretty much done after that. Somebody has been under the dash with cutters and wire nuts so I'm scared to see what all electrical problems this thing is going to have. I fixed everything I could see. Should be firing it up (atleast trying) by the end of the week.

Got it running and took it out for the first time tonight. Runs good, the heater core is leaking and the dash lights dont work, but other than that everything seems fine. Can't wait to see it with the new Prostars!
