So I got the motor in this weekend filled it full of fluids connected the battery hit the key didnt turn over but the starter was sticking on even when i pulled the key. So replaced the starter same issue....... replaced the solenoid same issue..... what am i missing.... or could it just be that the solenoid is bad out of the box? think it could be tested without the starter hooked up so I don't burn it up? Any advice would be greatly apprecaited.......
Thanks

Make sure that the ground from the battery is connected directly to the block and not to the timing cover. Either that or put a ground cable from the engine block to the frame. Make sure both surfaces are clean.

Also check the ignition switch in the column, when they get old they start to seperate and can cuse problems like this as well.

+1 on the ignition switch, two torx bits under the steering column, they sell them at the big az or advance.
