Ok, the short bus has had an issue since it was new to me. The wipers only work on hi, nothing else. Before I go spending the cash to fix it, which is it? The switch (multi function) or the motor? I'm gettin this whore road ready this week, and need these babies!

Motor works on HI,so you know the motor works. Sounds like the Multi function switch.

I want to say my Coupe is like that but backwards. Mine only work on low and not on HI.

CAUTION.... Before you replace the expensive ass multi function switch, take the plastic column pieces off and see if the connector plug on the back has not worked its way off the switch a little. Some people that get in there dont have the right tools to remove the connector and break the ears off and some times it can wiggle loose. Also check the wires inside the connector.Along with not having the correct removal tools, they usually grab the wires to pull the connector out and break the retaining tabs out of the connector that hold the wires inside the connector.

Lol I am too, the kid that had it is a new father in a bad spot and the car was suffering from it! I got the exhaust cut off of it lastnight. First time I've ever seen a flowmaster actually get a hole in it:eek: Threw everything from the stock headers all the way back to the janky dumps in the scrap bin! Gonna try to get that t5 swapped out this weekend, then onto the next issues. Atleast the car is actually a solid body. Its just everything around it's worn out lmao.

Man, my old 89 gt had clogged up flowmasters on them, and one also had a hole! Crazy! I used to run that car around with open H pipe!

^^^ Lmao, I'm gonna drive mine enough to make sure the trans is fine, then straight to the pipe shop for fresh ones and dumps!

I got it swapped out lastnight, but gotta finish it up today after work. I ended up getting a catback from bbfstangers brother for the cheap. So the only trip to the pipe shop for me will be for hangers! I gotta swap the steering rack out soon as I'm done, then onto wheel bearings and brakes. After that, it's 4:10 gears, UPR springs/bag, sfc's, HCI, and then purdy it up time. I've had most of this stuff sitting since shortly after I got the thing lol. Between the seather and the progress, I'm actually getting excited for once. I keep using the high fuel prices as the main excuse to get it done to the gf, lol she's keeping me on a budget due to home shopping right now...

I bet the little relay switch that is plugged into the dash wiring harness is not working or unplugged. I just went through this. I got a couple relay switches from upullandpay and it works perfect now. The switch is under the drivers side part of the dash right after it comes through the firewall. Hope this helps or it was the multifunction switch.

^^^ I'll look into that, still hemming up the driveline. The driveshaft was absolutely trashed! Never seen one that bad before. So pressing new u joints in the new to me shaft today on lunch, then hanging pipes tonight. I hope to get to that fun electrical stuff this weekend/coming week. I also couldnt help but notice there is a yellow wire running from my coil all the way back to the fuel pump area also. That might just be the reason my pump doesent cycle like it should. I truely know now I saved this lil car from certain death!

Ok, back to this switch, I got Kevins today. Big thanks buddy! I thought I'd check it over, make sure its a dead on match. As from what i can see, there is a difference between the 89-90 model year on these. There is a difference in pin locations in the 3 pins on the outermost area of the switch. Anyone ever run into this before?
