Has anyone ever used the roll on or spray on bed liner materials like Herculon and SEM? Just wondering how they compare to rhino or linex coatings. I want to protect my wood floor in the car trailer.

I have wondered the same thing.

Every one I've seen goes on rather thin, and I've seen a few wear thru over time.

What about stick down sandpaper grip stuff?

I have used the Herculiner Kit before on an S10 that I had and it worked great. Never wore through or anything. I think it would work great for your trailer.

Check with Mike, he did it in his old truck.

The spray can stuff is a waste of time for a bed liner IMO. I use that stuff on valve covers to get the old textured look, and it chips/wears pretty easily. I don't know about the roll on stuff.

I used the SEM Tintable Bed liner for the under side of my 65' fastback. I tinted it the same silver as the car. Turned out great, but a few things to note:

It does not spray on as thick as a line x or such. But for my use it was perfect.

I tinted with a very heavy metallic silver, so it need a few more coats to fully cover. I have heard of other people doing 1 - 2 coats for full coverage. I did have the same issue when I painted the car. Also, if you do the tinted liner, you need to make sure you get your base coat WITHOUT binder.

I did the whole underside of my car with a 1 gallon kit.

Buy their gun to apply and clean out AS SOON as your done.

If you want, your welcome to take a look at how mine turned out. Or I can email pictures. I haven't uploaded them to my site yet.

What do you mean?

The SEM Tintable bedliner is tinted with 1 quart of the basecoat color you want to make the bedliner. The directions, and the tech I talked to at SEM both says to have the basecoat made with no binders, I guess it does not work properly with their liner. I just told the shop I got my paint from and they didn't add the binder portion of the formula.

Here are the directions:
