Spring Farm Party 2011

Well, it is that time of year again. Time for a party at the farm. For those who haven't been, here is how it goes. I get to the farm around 11:00 or so and set up a few targets. As soon as a few people show up, we start shooting stuff. Later in the afternoon, the explosives come out, and stuff ends up in the trees.
I will have my entire collection of various firearms and plenty of ammo for everyone to see and shoot. All firearms are welcome.
The range is 150 yards and we put targets everywhere. Come on down, show your skill, or just spray and pray.
After we are done shooting stuff around dark 30, the guns get locked up, the coolers come out, the fire gets going, and the party gets going in a different direction.
As far as accomodations, there is an apartment inside the barn with beds and sofas. There is a fridge, stove, even carpet on the floor. LOL..
There is an outhouse for that kind of thing, or many trees. LOL!!!!!!
Every year, so many people say, man I am coming to the next one. Well here it is. I am thinking Saturday MAY 7th !!!!!! I don't have my kids that weekend, so if this doesn't work, it has to be two weeks ahead.

Parking is no problem. Yes there is room out on the range for an RV. I have enough tannerite for that!!! LOL I will post up the directions a little later!!

I 71 south to exit 62 Glenco Owenton.
Turn Left on 127. Follow to the end. 8 miles.
Turn Left on 127. 1.6 miles.
Turn Right on New Liberty Turnpike. 36/227. 4.5 miles.
Turn Left on 3215 at the New Liberty Miniature Horse farm. 2.7 miles.
Turn Right on Big Twin Creek Rd. It is at the bottom of the hill. 2.6 miles.
You are there.

Copy these directions down. Follow them and you will get there.

Seems there is a movement on this site. An idea that we need to have more get togethers. Can't think of a better way to spend a saturday afternoon/ evening than with friends!! Shooting stuff, blowing stuff up, and plenty of time to get to know one another. I throw this farm party 2 times a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Been doing it for a few years now. The best times are when the most people show up. Come on down, have fun, shoot some stuff, and most of all, meet people!!!

Looks like I can make it at this point Keith. Never been to one of these events. I may have a Computer 17" CRT Monitor to bring with me to shoot up if I update my current one. Is that okay? Wife will be out of town. Time to waste some ammo that has been sitting around for a while.

You could bring her for the afternoon and then split before the adult beverages break out. That's how Keith plans these things. No alcohol at all during the shoot em time from what I read and understand.

Going to make a run to the farm early next week with a trailer to take down some targets. Have a computer, and monitors, a water heater, and maybe a deep freezer. I will post up what day.

Oooohhh! I know how!! Have real people stand behind the paper targets and run with them. I think Bone would be a perfect paper target holder. :flipoff:

Well, the weather says rain, then not. I will be going down either way. I have driven down and been in rain all the way to the exit, and by the time I hit the farm, it was dry. Hope to see a few peeps come down and shoot stuff with me. If it rains, I understand.
