Time to pick up some new pads for my Porter Cable 7424 and have been trying to find a place local that sells them. Anyone know of anywhere? Prefer to find the 5.5" Pads if possible.

There is a place, on Sharon rd, that sells and services PC products. You could give them a try.

Phone # 772-3111

Yeah I think thats where Im going to get them. Smyth paint center can get them but cant touch their prices. A 6 pack for 36 bucks, cant beat that. How good are they about shipping?

They were great the last time I ordered but it has been a while.

Just put an order in. 6 Lakewood pads, and their backing plate came to 60 bucks shipped. Not bad at all.

Looks like autogeek has the best prices around. Glad I went with them. Granted I did search for hours. I was hoping a local place had them for a semi good price but no luck. Now if anyone needs their ride detailed, lemme know! Ill hook Bangerz up for sure! (This is not a business, just a guy doing this for some side money to help support his Mustang addiction.) lol

Chris can you tell me the best place local to buy the Porter Cable 7424? I looked up prices online and they vary from $115 to $130 without extras. I would like to buy local though incase I have a problem with it and need to return it.

I have never buffed a car but figure it can not hurt to learn with the white paint on my project car. Even if I do screw it up, I plan on repainting next year.

I bought mine at Lowe's. I just searched and they no longer offer the 7424 but they have the 7346 and it looks like its just the newer version of it. Its 129.

You cant beat this deal though. If I was to do it again, Id definitely buy this kit.

You really cant hurt much with the PC, it doesnt get the surface hot enough. You can however use the wrong product and cause yourself some headaches but nothing that couldnt be fixed as long as you didnt go too far with it.

You can find a lot of write ups on autogeek.

Oh and once you buy a Porter Cable, youll never handwax anything again. I can throw a coat of wax on a car in about 5 minutes.

Even a better reason to buy!

If you order from Autogeek just make sure to check your bank account afterwards. I added a counterweight to my order this morning and instead of just adding the 3 bucks to the original order they made a whole new order and charged my account again. After fighting with their rude ass customer service they realized it was their error and credited it back.
