I am removing the polution controls on my '88. I know I need a couple of these heally core type plugs. Ford sells them for around $17 a piece...at least when I did my '94 that was the cost. I hate to see how much they are now.

Does anyone have an extra set or a cheaper way of filling these holes on the back side of the heads?

Matt, I have used short bolts before. Do a search on corral.net for thread and pitch size.

Thanks...I will have to look into that...actually never thought about trying them. I had to use one for the Trick Flow intake on my '94 so it is worth a shot...and a lot cheaper.

...and thanks for the correct word

Here you go....they are 5/8-11 thread

I've bought the allen head inserts at ACE hardware before.

I know I used brass plugs on the TA to block off the EGR/AIR injection ports.

Get some allen head set screws or short bolt works fine.

I have the TFS plugs in stock, they are exactly the same as the stockers, that way you can use your heads on either side of the block and not worry about it. They are around 8 or 9 bucks a piece, can't remember off hand, I'm at home. I've used bolts before too and it works. I have the tap at the shop to clean the threads out of all the carbon if you want to swing by and clean them up first.

Thanks Mike, I actually have a tap set to clean the threads. I did find the TF ones on LMR for $9.99 a piece. If I can not find the others I will get with you and buy the TF ones from you.

...and thank you everyone for your replies!

I sell them for 9 bucks each. They are cheaper than ford for sure.
