Mike made a couple of pulls to get a baseline to see where we're at. I am waiting on my VMP Tuning TVS Blower to get here as of now.

The car made:

586 rwhp
603 rwtq

It hasn't even been tuned yet. Mike will start a data log of the car to get a good tune on it. Not to bad on a stock eaton lol.

While on the dyno, from 50 mph to 150 mph, it only took 5.5 seconds! Talk about making some power on the big end! Once the TVS gets here, we're expecting 720-730 rwhp! Can't wait!

Congrats on the strong numbers. The TVS is a very nice piece. 740 rwhp is getting into the gray area on the stock GT500 bottom end though. Keep us updated.

Justin Starkey at VMP is at 816 rwhp with his. He is running the same blower.

It's going to be a beast. Once my cobra is paid off there will be a whipple or kb on order. That's a few years off though.

Found out today it will be atleast 2 more weeks or so before my blower gets here. Oh well, it's worth the wait.

Thanks brother.Hope to get a custom tune on it from Mike this week to see if I can get to 600 with what I have. Waiting on Injectors, blower, driveshaft, and MGW shifter to complete my parts list.

This is what I have compiled so far including my new parts:

2.6 Upper
10% IW Lower
JLT Cai
72mm L&M TB
Match Ported Elbow for the TVS
60 LB Injectors
Dynatech One Piece DS
373 Gear
J&M Lower Control Arms
Stainless Works X-Pipe
Borlas
VMP Tuning Fully Ported TVS Supercharger w/2.5 upper
Thumper Tensioner
WOT Box / 2-Step
Race Stars W/ M&H DR
Afco Dual Pass Heat Exchanger W/Dual Fans
170 thermostat

I wasn't expecting being this close to 600 right now without the TVS. The numbers will be much higher than thought. After speaking with Justin Starkey at VMP, he is guessing somewhere in the range of 740-760 rwhp and right at the same amount of torque. It's gonna be a monster to drive.

I'm not concerned with E.T. at this moment. I want to get into the 1.3-1.4 range. Is it capable of running 10's? No doubt in my mind. Will it run 9's? It has been done with this setup already this year down south.I am gonna do some more suspension work this year and probably get some axles as well. Can't wait to get this thing on the track!

Made some pulls today. Evo had 24.4 degrees of timing in the car. We started messing with A/F today to get it straight. First pull was a 10.9 so we're running super fat. Looking to get it 11.8-12.2 tomorrow. The car should make more power once we get it straight.

Pull 1: 589 rwhp 612 rwtq at 10.9

We made adjustments and went to 12.0on the second pull

Pull 2: 575 rwhp 605 rwtq

We decided to let the car cool down due to heat soak. My duty cycle was 88% @ 5000 rpm and 100% @ 6200 rpm.

The major issue we're having right now is with the L&M 72mm TB. We haven't tried to tune it yet. While on the dyno in between shifts, the car stays at the rpm and doesn't drop at all. At 6200 rpm at the end of the run it will stay around 4500 rpm and finally drop after about 5-10 seconds. That's my only concern as to why the throttle is stuck so high.

Does he have a load bearing dyno? If not this could be a disaster

Yes it is load bearing.

A/F is stable today. When the car gets heat soaked, it yanks a bunch of timing and goes lean. All in all the tune is good now. Gonna go ahead and get the rest of my stuff on the car and wait for the blower to get here so we can get some new numbers.

Yup. That's how I get alot of Cobra drivers. I run them on the street after there car is good and hot :D They don't realize how much hp they lose when that thing heats up.

Mine would drop somewhere in the 20-30 hp range. But it was pulling timing like crazy. Gonna get this big intercooler on and the thermostat. Those parts alone will solve those issues with heat soak.

Is this the red gt500 at mikes shop ? Good looking car . Sounds like it is making some nice power with a whole lot more to come.
