Hadn't seen it posted here yet but Barry Grant went out of business yesterday at noon. Sucks to see another American company go under, especially in the performance industry. I don't think he did himself any favors though with how he treated racers at times.

That company was never the same after Holley sued their asses off for copyright infringement. The thing about their carbs is, for the money you can have a custom built carb from one of the carb tuner companies like Pro Systems or Quick Fuel. They were too expensive to make sense. I do like their Demon RS carb with interchangeable venturies though...that thing is cool.

In the Internet era, you can't get away with mediocre products and shitty customer service.

If his company leaving the market creates a vacuum that Holley and the tuning houses can't fill, someone else will come along.

Yeah, I'm sure Holley, Pro Systems, Quick Fuel, Etc. won't have a problem filling the gap. BG quality control left much to be desired and BG didn't do himself any favors in dealing with racers/customers. My guess someone will buy his tooling and get something going. I know a couple of his techs are looking into starting a rebuild service for his products. Survival of the fittest.
