You can send any msd product back to MSD and get it repaired, but a distributor is easy to fix if it's the electronics. If it's the pick up inside, just knock out the pin in the gear and the top stop, remove the gear with a press, slide the shaft up and out and put in a new motorcraft pickup. Then put it back together. Not hard at all to do.

it's the shaft it's self Mike......... I did call MSD yesterday and found I can get a replacement for like 40 bucks........ I just didnt want to have to buy a whole new one I can live with 40

40 isn't bad at all. If you have access to a press it's not hard at all to get it swapped, good luck with it!

thanks again Mike when I get my motor together I'll prolly bring it up for a retune, it was tuned for a 347 before but i'm doing a little bit different set up this time not sure how much changing compression, cam and dished pistons vs non but a good safe tune on the new set up would be a good idea
