Well the only interest in employment that I have had is coming from Florida. Depending on the weather, I'll be leaving next Wed. Thurs. or Fri. I have interviews scheduled with a Goodyear Independent chain of 3 stores and Aarons rentals. I have been putting every ounce of faith and trust into the good Lord above. I have come to learn the hard way that I cant do anything without him. I have always had faith in God but I have a very bad habit of trying to make things happen instead of giving it to him and letting him help me. I need prayers that what I'm doing is Gods will and not mine (first and fore most) and for a safe trip, wisdom, and grace. Thanks in advance for the thoughts and prayers. This is a huge step out of my comfort zone.

I applied for a store manager position up here and down there.... Down there is the one that called. I hate to commute up here anyway because of the weather. I want to be able to get to work everyday. They are opening stores every 3 days right now and store managers make good money and no Sundays...

Good luck and have a safe trip.
Yep, good luck Troy. You got to go where the work is. Other than the bugs, reptiles, hurricanes, and old people...Florida would be an awesome place to live!:D

You forgot the Humidity. What part of Fla are you job searching? I used to live in Fort Walton and have family in Melboure.

Make sure you check out the Don Garlits Museum in Ocala. That area is about an Hour from my parents place.

Been in your shoes twice before. Thankfully I have been blessed this time around and have maintained my job (though I had to take reassignment and 10% pay cut) and not had to experience the fears that come with job loss a third time during this economic turndown. You have a very good outlook and I will gladly pray for your success.
James 1:2,3 - "Consider it pure joy my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of faith develops perserverence. Perserverence must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete not lacking anything."
This verse has helped me when I have been in your shoes and it is a continued reminder that we face trials for the purpose of maturing and growing in our daily lives. We all tend to lose sight of our walk with God when we are on the mountain top. That almost always seems to be when man loses site of who got him where he is and starts thumping his own chest. I have done this, everybody does it. It's a part of being imperfect. Remember to carry that faith and trust with you when you emerge back out of that valley you find yourself in right now. You are well on the right track. And you will be on that mountain top again with a new found level of wisdom.
No reason to wish you luck, you have faith in God and thats worth more than "luck". God bless.

Dude you are going to do fine. Just hang in there. Don't get down if the interviews don't go exactly how you think, and remember what you said in the beginning of this thread. You got it going on!!!!!! Your path is before you. Things will fall into place as you work your way along that path to the rightful place you are supposed to be. As I said before - you don't need luck. You have the faith. Now knock their socks off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the interview could not have went better. It was very long (almost 2 hours). He doesnt have a immediate opening, but is looking at making changes within his organization. We both agreed we would like to work with each other. I will continue to look for other jobs but I feel he will be in touch soon. Everyone keep the prayers coming.......
