Thinking about getting a set of these for the stang. I like the look of my 325/50/15 M/T DR's on the car. But can't trust them around town.. rain etc. These are about the only ones I can find in this size.…

Anyone with any experience with these.

I was thinking about these too. don't know how well they will hook on the street especially in a little rain. Would be better then the drag radial though.

from reading on several forums most people like it as a street tire for the nice days. not the best in a little bit of rain. Most prefer the Hoosier over the MT in that department. They are of a soft nature that will last between 12-20k before worn down. By the design it looks like the MT wouldn't be too bad if you got caught in the rain. At least there is a center channel in a sense. Bad part would be driving in the rain once they are worn down past half. Bad part is they only make a 28x9.5 in the Hoosier. http://www.hoosiertire.com/strttire.htm

Right now thinking I'll go with the Mickey Thompson.... don't do a lot of driving in the rain, but am thinking of doing the Hot Rod Power Tour (http://www.hotrod.com/powertour/2011/hrdp_2011_hot_rod_power_tour_locations_dates_regis tration/index.html) 7 day drive, well maybe 9 or 10 days by the time I got there. :) Just figured it out 2830 miles round trip. Anyway it's bound to rain....
Want a 28" tire and you just can't find them...
Oh well!! Still have time to make a decision

thats true. probably would be alright if you drove like normal. but those bigger S/R is what a lot of the older Chevy guys have been running and seem to like them. Plus the tread pattern is mean looking.

Hi
I was looking through my old posts, looking for a photo and came across this one.
I bought a set of these tires and used them on the 2013 Power Tour.
The tires look great but... had to send one back, right away wouldn't balance. thanks Craig, no hassles there. :)
Had a monsoon on wednesday and ended up doing 30 miles per hour on the highway, they were as bad as having drag radials on.
Traction was great other than that and look great on the car, not much good in standing water though, might be ok in light rain...
My report great tires in dry weather bad in Monsoons...

Why couldn't you run a 275/60/15?
