For the fire guys, have you heard about what's going on today with the case? They are pointing out mistakes on the run report. Along with problems the guys had intubation. Also sending 12 minutes on the scene with a full arrest. That I think is damn good, on the scene for 12 minutes if she really was on the second floor in the bathroom. I really wish people would work a shift or two in our shoes before they question why or how we do things. And even more when those politians that blame us for their budget problems and want to take away retirement or health benefits!

Sorry off my soap box now. (I hope)

In my eyes, fire fighters just about can do no wrong. You guys go in the last fucking place on Earth that the rest of us want to be trying to save lives and save homes. These asshole lawyers have no fucking souls and they'll get theirs in the end.

Oh and did you see their secret witness? Some cracked out stripper chick...yeah, that's a solid reliable witness right there.

Yeah she's a winner. I have my beliefs that he did do it. But that is another story and let us not start that topic on here. But thank you for your support, and yes sometimes we can do wrong, every family has their black sheeps. It is not often the fire/ems guys find out when we have a patient that is circling the drain unless they die. Rarely do we hear the good of what we do, or at least that is the way it is in NKY.

They were in the driveway for 12 minutes, They were in the house much longer. This is a great example of why I preach to my guys about DOCUMENTATION and doing their job quickly and efficiently! The defense lawyer is just doing his job. Unfortunately there are some people who are lazy on documentation. You go to court your run report is your defense. I like to have a strong defense. If the report has mistakes you are going to get grilled.

On channel 12 news today, the defense dude was asking why their on scene time to enroute to hospital was 12 minutes. Alot of northern ky depts have went to paperless reports. Most are using ADPI, it is a very nice system once you learn to use it. I can upload everything my monitor has done to the report. But you are right, you can only remember what you write. Plus in ky a paramedic can pronounce death in the field (without a call to med control), so those are a real CYA with your report.

get called into court once or twice and see just how drastic your reports will change!
it never fails that for all of the good that we can do, it only makes the news when someone makes a mistake.

Is everyone in Ohio for the most part still using paper reports? Just wondering.
