Kel-Tec's new KSG Bullpup 12 ga Pump-action shotgun
Dual tube magazines to give a 14+1 capacity. With the ability to choose which tube on the fly. Load one side with buckshot and the other slugs and choose what you need when you need it.
I am hearing price point will be around $550. If true I will have one.

Black, are you hearing 550 for the general public or LE / military discount?
I read some article online about this a few days ago and i thought i saw a 800 dollar estimate. I have no need for this but at 550 i'm tempted to buy one!

I am hearing a $750-$800 msrp
Making it in the $550 to $600 actual sale price.
That's regular street price. I don't think Kel Tec has an Military/LEO price plan.

I am trying not to get to overly excited. I was at SHOT SHOW 4 years ago now and that is when KelTec introduced their RFB. I have yet to see one other than at the Show.
Kel Tec can be a little slow with the bringing of their products. But they aren't the only ones in the firearm industry that will announce something and it's years before one actually can get their hands on it.

Prolly won't be too bad i've shot a swat semi auto there's hardly no recoil at all.........

I think it's pretty awesome, but I've had my share of tacticool shotguns and would rather just have a base mossy, or 870, or even a single shot $99 from walmart, they all fire the same round and in hd you really only need 1 shot of 00 buck to get the point across, lol. My last build was a mossy 7+1 with a knoxx spec-ops stock...no recoil with 2 3/4" slugs. It was great.

I still think the serbu super shorty is the coolest of all time, but I can't bring myself to go through all the paperwork to own one when I can buy a taurus judge without jumping through any hoops. Still, I'm a Kel-Tec fan and may pick this up if money ever piles up.

Pitbull, I agree on a semi auto, but this one is a pump.

Looks kinda cool and fun to shoot, but me personally, I don't see the need for 14+1 for HD, let alone hurling 12GA slugs in or around the home, especially in a subdivision. I'll always prefer handguns loaded with HD ammo for around the house.

Why would you load slugs for home defence?

Depends on where you live. They do a good job of "getting the job done". lol

I used to keep the breech open on mine, with 3 00 and 3 slug on the side saddle, then the magazine tube loaded with 7 follow up 00's...You never know when someone might decide to wear kevlar on a B&E. Slugs tend to overrule that decision. Where I lived when I felt this was apropriate we had several attempts to break in. I wasnt going to let the successful crook off lightly.

I wouldn't. My post was in reply to the OP about loading 1 tube with buckshot, and the other tube with slugs.
I was advocating against hurling 12GA slugs in or around the home. Too much of a chance of killing sleeping family members that have only 2 panels of drywall between them and the possible errant slug. That's why I use ONLY Home Defense rounds in the handguns I use for home defense.

That thing looks awesome, I'll have to watch for one of those. My shortlist keeps growing.

Those are the prices I was hearing, too.

RFB is out, plenty of people have them. KelTec is rolling them out, slowly. You might have to contact your dealer and place an order if they aren't charging an up-charge.

Between the PMR-30, RMR-30 and KSG, this will be a busy next two years for me. (KSG may take a while to come to fruition).

I am hearing they should be arriving in July or August.
Most places are preordering for around $625-$650.

Not bad for the initial run. Trying to decide if I should snag one or wait till they are under $600.

Just not sure which to do as Kel Tec can take a very long time for their new weapons to become readily available.

While the RFB is out it was introduced almost 5 years ago now and I have still never seen one in person and I have one of the largest gun dealers in the nation just down the street.

It can now take 3" shells (6+6+1) or the 2.75" shells (7+7+1). I hear the 3" magnums are painful. :bigthumb

A few guys on ARFCOM were ordering them for $617 from their dealer. Keltec was reported saying expected availability: 4th quarter 2011. That being said, it could be a full year before anyone sees one.

With Kel-Tec's past I say longer.
But that does not mean I am not putting money to the side:D

Oh, I know what you're talking about, but claim they have learned from their past issues. Right now they had a supplier QC issue on their PMR-30. Better to check tolerances before they get to us, rather than push out crap.

They just added something like 30k sq ft floor space and a few more machines. :bigthumb

$615 is hard to talk the wife into for *another* shotgun so squirreling away funds until Q4 works fine for me. :D
