I need a good steering rack for a GT car. Mines shot, leaking and loose as a goose. I dont wanna go crazy buying a new one, but I've priced them and know what they go for. Anyone got one laying around for cheap?

I have the stock 53k mile unit out of my car. Went to a manual rack a few weeks ago. Worked great when I last drove the car. Have the pump as well. Make an offer on what it's worth to you.

My pumps good, just the racks leaking, and has play in it from side to side. Makes for a sloppy steering wheel too lol. What kinda cash would you want for it? Any idea? It's for a GT correct? I know they have different steering ratios.

My car is an LX, however an original 5.0 car. I don't know where you got that info. Everywhere I've seen has the same rack for 5.0's, whether it's a GT or LX.

Thats what the part store web sites and techs ask when you call them about one. There is a 3 turn lock to lock version, and a 4 turn lock to lock version. Mine has the 3 turn, well 3 1/2 turn lmao!

I think I have a deal worked out on taking one in on trade for some polishing right now. Should know in a week or so, I'll keep this updated though...

I picked up a rack lastnight, thanks Rixxx93GT! I'll get those wheels done soon as these fuel rails are hemmed up! Hopefully by the weekend on the rails, and your rims next week sometime...

You too buddy, I prepped one of your front wheels tonight right after I finished prepping those rails. I think they are gonna look brand new when I'm done! I'll take before and after pics for everyone...
