I know the term street car gets thrown around alot on here so here is an example!!! Now it may not be legal but its easily driven on the street and there is some snow on the ground! Either way its a bad ass video!

You can split this hair many different ways...

You can say a true street car should be able to pass an emissions check

You can say it has to have full exhaust including converters and tail pipes

You can say all it needs are seat belts, turn signals, head/tail lights and a horn

You can build a car with lexan windows and fiberglass body panels that's totally gutted and caged but still has an engine that can pass echeck...maybe it's a street car to some because it passes echeck but to others it's a race car because it's so heavily modified. A lot of road race cars could fall into this same category if you just left the emissions stuff on...there's a lot of them running bone stock engines that may very well pass echeck, while the rest of the car is full blown race car.

That's pretty much it right there. The term street car means different things to different people. I'll keep my AC, cruise control, and stereo while there a lot of other folks who have no problem ditching all that stuff.

It would have been pretty damn cool of all the factory gauges still worked in that car. :cool1:

But he still had the door panels and power windows in it! This next one he went to lexan...

Yep street car is licensed, insured, and driven on the street. Any other 'rules' or 'definitions' are just other guys that aren't as fast trying to steal the thunder. Street car is whatever you can drive on the street and get away with it legally. Street legal is another bs term thrown around. In Ohio, if you put collector's tags on it, anything is 'street legal', lol.

Why trailer it.Get in that bitch in the driveway, start it,drive where you need to go and get it done.True street car should'nt need a trailer.

I think of street car as any car that has valid plates and can be driven on the streets. I have had people tell my car is noy streetable, me and my wife have no trouble driving it.

Understandable. But it shouldnt need a trailer to get from Point A to point B just to make a race, then get put back on the trailer for the ride home.

You're an idiot who assumed I was talking about you and your sweet entourage, and of course, when you saw I stated no one specific you realized you made yourself look pretty dumb. And that's where the childish insults come in. Cheer up, Craig! This no racing weather is really getting to you.

I don't care if you were talking to me or not. Your CSS sandbag comment is what I'm referring to. That makes you look like a complete tool. You can ask anyone who knows me what I'm known for, its not sandbagging
