Not personally...but it seems like everyone is having a really shitty Christmas/holiday season. Working in retail, i interact with a lot of the general public, and people just seem bummed out and miserable this year. All the shoppers are in shitty moods and being real rude to each other and there just isn't much of a festive feeling in the air. If it wasn't for the Christmas tree a few feet from me, it wouldn't even feel like Christmas. The news is saying retail spending is up this year so by the numbers people don't seem as broke as they were last year, and our sales have been crazy lately, we had half the parking lot full all night long last night and it'll probably be worse tonight.
I hope i'm just seeing the ugly side and things aren't as gloomy as they seem.
LOLOL We were just talking about this today at work. The buy here pay here customers are all pretty shitty too. Sooooo many pity me stories. Say happy holidays and then get a 20 min speech on why its not. Maybe do less meth and stop bailing your shitty kids out of jail and you would have more money...

If its any consolation I've had a great year and have been in a very chipper mood all Christmas season. I used to work in retail and learned to hate this time of year but those days are long gone

I exploded a clutch in my brother-in laws truck, and the timing chain on my 78 f-150 jumped three teeth sunday. Tomorrow i hope to finish up the clutch job on jeff's truck so i can go see my parents. Other than that it has been a good year for me. People put too much into "how much shit to buy my kids for christmas",then ending up in more debt than they ever could pay off. My kids have gifts, they are healthy, and carrie and the baby are doing great. That makes my christmas season that much better. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL BANGERS AND YOUR FAMILIES! Be safe everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your holidays are all great and remember the ones we have lost this year and in the years past. Dont let the shitty economy get ya down and keep your heads up. We live to race and play another day and enjoy what we love.
May the holidays be safe for us all and the upcoming race season be a blast! Hope to see ya all soon at the Spring Cruise In and Shoot Out!!! Merry Christmas!!!

I will agree it doesnt seem like christmas at all. I know my money situation is shit, work has been horrible right around holiday season of course so i broke my bank just getting gifts for family. sucks big time.

I don't have the Christmas spirit either. Of course, 8 months into a divorce, and being basically alone for the first christmas in a really long time will do that. I have my kids, my house back, and my pets! That is what is keeping me sane. Even though she is driving me insane.....
Oh well, next year will be better.....at least that is what everyone says...

I have 5 kids, 3 of which are looking forward to christmas morning, that is what gets me in the mood for christmas. We haven't had a whole lot of money to spend on Christmas but I am certain there are plenty of kids getting less. I think buying them too much ruins the spirit anyway.
Merry Christmas everyone.

My wife volunteered to ring for the Salvation Army and was at Wal Mart. Last weekend I knew she would be freezing so I took her a big cup of hot chocolate. I stood there with for about an hour and it was amazing to watch the number of people who would walk past with a new LCD or plasma TV in their cart but couldn't bothered to throw some pocket change in the kettle. What a bunch of scrooges. It really made me think about our Christmas giving and I decided next year we aren't doing Christmas presents to each other. We buy pretty much what ever we want through out the year (within reason) and I think I would get a whole lot more joy out of knowing someone else is having a good Christmas.

Yeah people have been rude. I went to walmart yesterday for a eggs, pasta and cheese and got a glimpse into the world if civilization collapsed... a more violent glimpse.
I had a great holiday, received a gift only from my mother in law and my only complaint is going to work on monday

Damn debit cards!
I walked past a kettle yesterday, but I carry no pocket change and rarely any greenbacks. Most of my pocket change goes towards no kill animal shelters that have boxes out at the vets I pick up at.

I was in a Great Mood all year even with the health issues ... And I make a point to tell every cashier, worker, etc. Merry Christmas if they say it or not !!! One thing I never do is act like a Scrooge @ Christmas ...
But I will say that I give $$$ to the Salvation Army bellringers @ every store I visit ONCE !!! I can't afford to give everytime I go to the store through the Holidays !!!
Merry Christmas !!!

Christmas Bonus?????? What the heck is a Christmas Bonus? Never heard of any such thing in good times or in bad. I remember Grizwald crying about not getting one in the movie Christmas Vacation once, but only thought that was something made up to give the story some flare. LOL!!!
