My dad bought this bike brand new in 1988 or 1989 for my sister when she was 6 years old. The bike was ridden less than 10 hours back then before being stuck in the basement for literally 21 years. I have a 2 yr old boy & got the bright idea that I'd take it home & get it ready for him when he is big enough next year or so. The bike surprisingly started immediately after replacing the gas obviously. The crank was a little noisy so I shut if off. Long story short, from sitting so long, the bearings dried up & developed pitting & surface rust so I just finished spending almost to the penny $500 "at dealer cost" on a new OEM Yamaha crank / rod assembly including all bearings, piston / rings etc, complete blue OEM Yamaha plastic & graphics with matching blue seat cover replacing the red/ white color scheme it had / new dunlop tires & tubes & more. These bikes have not changed from early 80's through current 2011 models minus colors & graphics etc. This bike is nicer than any used PW 50 I've seen even 2&3 year old ones. To walk past it you would think its a late 2008 or newer. Its been completely serviced & ready to go! Save compared to $1,500 out the door price on a new one which is the same motorcycle. Perfect Christmas Present for your little one...Im going to just wait until my little guy is ready at 3 or 4. Guarantee the first remotely serious person to see will take home with them. My camera chord is acting up so I can't upload pic at this time.

$500 Price is Firm.
