I am wanting to try to find an old car of mine but don't have a clue how... I am thinking about trying to buy the car again but need to find it first. Anyone have any experience with this?

If you have the VIN you can do a CarFax and find the current title number. I believe then you can write or email the BMV and get info from them...depending on who you talk to.

I don't have any. I sold it in 97-98 it was a 90 GT wildstrawberry with grey ground effects. It had black interior, 2.5in cowl hood, weld drag lites,GT40 heads, tinted Windows, hurst shifted, 1 1/2 headers,h pipe,373,frame ties, kenwood cd player. That's about all I can remember off the top of my head. I sold the car and bought my wife an engagement ring. I never saw the car again. The kid that bought it said they lived in mount healthy Ohio. I would buy this car in any condition if I could find it. Everytime I see one that color I look to see if it has black interior

My grand national was stolen in 2003. I got it back 3 weeks later. It was pretty much trashed, so I let the insurance take it. I had that car for 12 years. I had tears in my eyes when they took it. It was an 87 with 51,000 miles on it. Anyhow, I got on the bmv website a few years ago and had done a search on the vehicle. I added the vin number and found that the car was sold to a person in piqua. I tried to contact him, but had no luck.

Papa Johns posted a reward on RJ.com for his gold camaro that you see in the commercials. I think it was like $50k or something rediculous though...

You can but it has to be in someone's name. I tried this once but the car stopped being registered....i can only assume because it got scrapped.

Hell i was offered a real $1k "reward" if i could track down the car i mentioned...it was an '80 Challenger...very rare, and it was a friend's first car and was in his family since he was a baby. I got the dmv to give me the last date it was registered but it was a few years past which led me to believe it was either wrecked and/or scrapped.

DAYUMMMM, that 1980 Challenger is an ugly ass car lol. I kinda remember them from back in the day, but not completely. To be honest with you, I've owned a Shelby before. But it was a Dodge Charger Shelby turbo car lol... I thought I was the shit back in the freshman days lmao!

Yeah it was ugly as hell but pretty neat to drive...got lots of complements. Back then i didn't know anything about cars, so i'd take it to oil change places to get the oil done and it was never even in their books. Every time they'd argue with me and tell me it's a Charger not a Challenger and i'd have to walk them out and show them the badges and owners manual. It was a Mitsubishi Galant with Dodge badges....4 cylinder 5 speed and rear wheel drive. It was actually pretty quick for what it was.
