I just bought 2 new 18x10 OEM saleen wheels to replace my 18X9s. Does anyone know if I should go with a 285-35-18 or 305-35-18?? I would like to run 305s but was worried about them rubbing the quarters. Also I was wondering which drag radial brand to buy..Nitto, Mickey Thompson ,Toyo, etc..

If your car will see more street duty then go for the Nitto for better rain control. If you are going to drive on nice days only then do a ET street radial. If you still got the twin turbos on there you may want to shy away from regular radials overall. The 285 would make for a better foot print since the tire is stretching more on the rim but may be a real bitch to mount. The 305 would allow for a little cushion but like you said may be into the quarters. Also depends if your rear has been narrowed and the offset of the new rims.

I know a bunch of people with 305. but like bob said the 285 on a 10 inch wheel will look better and sit more flush. and have a flatter foot print. I can mount them for you when you get them. I would also go with mickey thompson just because you are going to have no side wall flex and will be next to impossible to hook.

I have a 285/35/18 on my 18x10 BBS RKs. I went from a 295/35/18. No problem with installation, just a matter of tires and sizes available. With a 295/35/18 I had to have my inner rear fenders rolled, but with a 285/35/18 I'm not sure I would have had too . . . .
