Here are my F-150 rims that I sandblasted down and powder coated in Matte Black, they are just factory rims, but this is my first time trying my skills at powder coating.

So you getting the hang of the gun? How long did it end up taking you to blast the wheels?

Getting use to the gun...a little akward since I have to aim down to coat, I don't have a powder booth yet so I have to do with what I have now. Which is a microwave stand and an oven rack
The first two rims took about 3 hours each, the reason being is because, I was using the wrong media...glass bead.( I forgot to switch out media) It still worked but slow as hell, so I switched over to using aluminum oxide which provided better results...the remaining two rims took about 2 hours total.
I've been pondering about getting this Hyper Smooth 02 100 KV Coating System from http://www.columbiacoatings.com/Hyper_Smooth_Systems_s/51.htm I was wondering if you've ever heard of this company and if they are legit. The price is right in the ballpark for me but don't want to get screwed since it is a bit pricey, I know some of the other guns go for a hella lot more. But I am considering this gun. It's either this gun or a new set of pro stars for my mustang. Let me know what you think :bigthumb

Thats the gun I use except I have the faraday wave board upgrade that Columbia does not offer. If I were you I would get the wheels and let me do any coating you cant handle with the eastwood gun.
