What are people doing when they have a motor with a gridle in order to run an oil pickup and a dip stick? The tube on the PU hits the girdle and it doesnt look like a dispstick tube will fit thru with it? Im lost

You stick the dipstick in and slide a deep socket over the tube and bend it back a bit. Then, you make sure the dipstick goes in and misses the girdle, the girdle should have a part milled in it to miss the dipstick. It's easier to show you than to write it down. I also have some old DSS instruction sheets here that show how to do it.

Yeah that makes sense.........I appreciate that! Im thinkin i may need to simply "bend" the pu tube a bit to clear it I suppose?

Yes, you take a socket and slide it over the part that sticks out the bottom of the block, bend it back some away from the girdle and then make sure the dipstick goes in and out of it.

Anyone have any ideas on the pickup tube hitting?
