Who's using Road runner?

I've got the rr max turbo, or power boost, whatever the hell they call it. When I run the test from Speedtest.net I'm getting about 4 mbps, they're telling me I need to use their website to test my speed, and by some act of God my speed is way better :rolleyes: at about 13.6 mbps. If you have rr, do me a favor and test at both places and let me know your results, I think they're scamming me.

it tells me on speedtest.net that I am running 17.5 mbps and on RR's it says 21.4 mbps. I have just the everyday package. I am supposed to have the lowest internet package they offer.

I used to have their premium package back when it was 10mbps and i NEVER got even half that. I do think they scam people...i think they might hook you up in the beginning but they taper you off to a slower connection over time. I've had friends call them bitching about their speed and then low and behold they find out they're not on the premium connection.

Speed test showed 9.86
RR showed 15.75

This is on my laptop connected via wireless

I have no idea what any of that means but I am testing just over 24 with RR...which is the service I have. The other is showing me over 16.

Just tried it again, this time using google chrome..

got 16.23 on speed test and 16.08 on RR

normal RR with powerboost is 7 Mb/s, I got 8.71 with first link, 18.34 with the RR link, BULLSHIT :)

With the first link try bouncing of the Chicago server, I got 15.95.

I do a LOT of torrenting and the 7 Mb/s down, .5 Mb/s up speeds are the normal. I am thinking about going turbo though.

Yeah i wouldn't trust whatever Road Runner's own site is telling you...of course they're gonna church it up a bit.

non rr download was 24.84 up was 0.73

rr download was 24.56 up was 0.73

I am with time warner and have the rr turbo

i got 18.82 on speed test and i got 17.5 on rr website

SpeedTest: 8.23MB down, 0.46 up :rolleyes:, with a 50ms ping

TWC Test: 16.48 down, 0.45 up, with 23ms ping

I have the most basic package they offer. Looking at that up speed and the ping its a small miracle I ever get kills in COD. LOL
